Ride For Life Day 4

Day four. We did all our riding down the main highway leading back to our ranch.
Before we left that morning of course the last prank had to be played. The guys took off Susan's saddle and put it on backwards...

This was another one of our stops. Yet another compound.
This was an old bunker from during the civil war

Isn't he a handsome horse.

You can't see it well, but this guy cut the rattle off a rattle snake. God was really with us then. Pastor Larry and his horse stepped right over it coiled.

Once it was safe, I rode up and got a close up. We were informed on Sunday that the very next night after we left our camp in the mountain, 2 bears were killed at that same camp sight. We had one horse go down. My friend, Ron's horse collasped the first day. We were afraid that we would have to put him down. We also were worried abut Ron because the horse came down his foot. I was right there in the back with him when it happened. It felt like slow motion.

Over all, it was an awesome trip. Next year we are going to Toas, NM for the same reason.
