Carissa and Luke.

Carissa has a new beau. This young man has liked her since they were in 7th grade. They have been friends off and on through the years. He came back in to her life again a little while ago. They were both interested but Carissa wanted to give it some time and build the friendship more. He understood and was patient. When she finally decided she was ready ( she didn't want to make the same mistakes) she told him but also told him that he had to ask my permission.

The irony is that his step mom is the track coach at Emmy's school and we already know each other. He respects Carissa's relationship with God. He says he has one as well, but because of something that has happened between his dad and sister, he isn't even allowed to speak of anything about God in the house. He has to be careful how he words things when he goes to a youth group function with Carissa. It is sad. I feel he would be very much involved and happily if it wasn't for his dads feelings. But, being that he lives under his roof.....Any who, he has given her his class ring ( which he has never done before), they actually talk things out, she is very honest with him. Even tonight there was an issue that she had to talk to him about that could have possibly been a problem. He respected her more for being up front, and her fears were dissolved.
